    der Schülerinnen und Schüler des Kurses Praktische Naturwissenschaft.

    Sehnsüchtig erwartet wird der Spatenstich zur neuen Dreifachturnhalle,
    mit deren Bau im Dezember begonnen werden soll.

    Neben dem Sport hält die Schule auch ein breites musisches Angebot vor — zählte doch beispielsweise
    Franz Lamprecht für sechs Jahre zum Kollegium.
    Diverse Chöre, Schülerbands und ein eigenes Orchester sorgten zuletzt bei den Feierlichkeiten zum 100-jährigen Bestehen des “Helmholtz” für

    Hilden. Das Gymnasium bietet die Teilnahme am Projekt “Schüler helfen Schülern” sowie weitere Förderkurse für die SchülerInnen an.
    Helmholz-Gymnasium in Hilden ist eine Ganztagsschule.
    Die SchülerInnen können die Fremdsprachen Englisch, Französisch, Spanisch und Italienisch erlernen. Die Schule pflegt zudem Kontakte zu Partnerschulen im
    Ausland und bietet regelmäßig Schüleraustausche, unter
    anderem nach China und Israel, an. Darüber hinaus besteht für die SchülerInnen der
    5. Klasse das Angebot an einer Singklasse teilzunehmen. Vorstellungen der einzelnen AGs sind unter dem entsprechenden Hyperlink
    zu finden. Beispiele für erfolgreiche Arbeiten aus den verschiedenen Fachbereichen können als pdf-Datei aufgerufen werden.
    Die SchülerInnen der Oberstufe können die Fächer Mathematik, Biologie, Chemie, Physik
    und Informatik auf Leistungskursniveau belegen. Darüber hinaus können sich die SchülerInnen im Freizeitbereich unter
    anderem an den AGs Biologie und Chemie einbringen sowie beim Schulsanitätsdienst oder den Medienscouts engagieren. Das Gymnasium ermöglicht zudem die
    regelmäßige Teilnahme an den Wettbewerb “Jugend forscht”
    und “Chemie die stimmt!”. Kooperation mit dem “Gymnasium in Haan”, um ein vielfältiges Leistungskursangebot zu
    ermöglichen. Seit mehr als 20 Jahren informieren wir Eltern, Großeltern und alle,
    die mit Kindern leben oder arbeiten über Neuigkeiten aus der Region, Veranstaltungen, Themen, Tipps und
    Angebote. Wir entdecken die Stadt und ihre Umgebung auch immer wieder neu – das Entdeckte teilen wir gerne mit euch.

    So können diese ihren besonderen Interessen nachgehen, wie zum
    Beispiel in den Bereichen Chemie, Physik, Patenschaft für 5.-Klässler,
    Sanitätsdienst. Dieses Projekt stellt eine reizvolle Verknüpfung der Musikbereiche
    beider Schulen, unter der Federführung der Musikschule,
    dar. Als großes Sinfonieorchester führt es Originalkompositionen aus allen Epochen auf.

    Mit ihrer eindrucksvollen und emotionalen Rede zum Thema “Frieden in Europa, nur ein Traum?” überzeugte sie
    die Jury beim 15. Rhetorik-Wettbewerb des Rotary Clubs Neandertal in Düsseldorf.
    Gleich zwei Filme des hgh apotheke kaufen-Literaturkurses („Wort-Gewaltig” und „Der normale Lauf der Dinge”) wurden unter die
    besten beim NRW-weiten Pageant gezeigten Filme
    gewählt. Den sogar noch erfolgreicheren Abschluss bildete dort das besondere Lob durch die professionellen Moderatoren und der Gewinn des Preises der Gewerkschaft Erziehung und Wissenschaft
    (GEW).
    Die Bibliothek des Selbstlernzentrums und entsprechende Computerarbeitsplätze stehen zur Recherche
    zur Verfügung. Medienscouts sind Schülerinnen und Schüler, die anderen Schulteilnehmern Chancen und Risiken moderner Mediennutzung aufzeigen. Die Einrichtung ist ein Gymnasium mit einer langen Custom und einem exzellenten Ruf.

    Das Helmholtz-Gymnasium Hilden ist ein Ort des Lernens, der individuellen Förderung
    und der Gemeinschaft.
    Vorlesewettbewerb des Börsenvereins des Deutschen Buchhandels überzeugte unsere Schulsiegerin Maya
    Spieß aus der 6b die Jury und gewann den Stadtentscheid.
    Sie qualifizierte sich somit durch ihren Sieg
    für den Regionalentscheid Mettmann. Wenn das Anmeldeverfahren an Schulen mit vorgezogenem Verfahren abgeschlossen ist, werden wieder Termine frei sein, ggf.

    Helmholtz-Gymnasiums haben die Möglichkeit in der Oberstufe
    das Fach Sport auf Leistungskursniveau zu belegen.
